Thomas Linley (1732–November 19, 1795), English musician, was born at Wells, Somerset, and deliberate music at Bath, where he settled as a singing-master & conductor of the concerts.

From either 1774 he was engaged in the management at Drury Lane theatre, London, composing or compiling a music of numbers of of the pieces produced there, besides songs & madrigals, which rank high among English compositions.

His firstborn boy Thomas (1756-1778) was the remarkable fiddler, & too the composer, world health organization assisted his father; & he became the warmly friend of Mozart. His works, sustaining a select few of his father's, were published within 2 volumes, & these contain a select few lovely madrigals and songs.

An additional boy, William (1771-1835), world health organization held the writership at Madras, was devoted to literature & music & composed glees and songs.

3 girl were likewise gifted, & were remarkable each for singing & beauty; a firstborn of the two Elizabeth Ann (1754-1792), married Richard Brinsley Sheridan in 1773, and so linked a fortunes of her personal by owning his career.
